How to use
How to use Axis (quick guide)
- Main usage instructions: On first start, the app will show your location (labeled “HERE”. This label can be changed). Click the + icon to select the city for the second column. Then pick a time by dragging the timezone selector, and viewing the city name. You may also search for a city using the search button. You can add a third column, and later remove it by using the big + / − icons visible on the central line.
- Compare times: Scroll horizontally to move through time and see all cities update together.
- Sync back to “NOW”: Use the central line as your anchor to understand the current moment across zones. Click “NOW” to jump to the current time in all locations. You can also snap back to “NOW” mode by scrolling back to it. An audio feedback will sound.
- Save your set: Your selected cities are stored locally on your device.
- Share a decision: Use the “COPY” button to share your time decision. You can paste your decision in any other app on your phone. You can also export options to the iOS Calendar.
Tip: If you’re coordinating across multiple people, pick the “decision time” in one city,
then look at the other columns to see what it means for everyone else.
FAQ
Q&A
Does Axis collect any data or location?
No. Axis Time Tool does not collect, transmit, or share personal data. Your selected cities and settings stay on your device.
Why do I see city names if there’s no location tracking?
City/timezone choices are selected by you inside the app. The initial location picked up by your phone’s location services is called “HERE”.
The device never shares your location or any other settings stored in the app, unless you use the “COPY” or “CALENDAR” buttons.
Can I sync my city set across devices?
Not currently. Axis keeps settings locally on-device.
The time looks off by one hour. What should I check?
First, confirm your device date/time is set to Automatic. Then verify the city/timezone you selected is correct.
Daylight Saving Time changes can also affect offsets depending on the date.
How do I suggest a feature or report a bug?
